I heard the words no woman is ever prepared for:
“You have cancer.”
In that moment, everything changed.
Time felt like it stopped.
Fear settled in.
And the life I knew suddenly felt uncertain.
I wasn’t just thinking about treatment.
I was thinking about survival.
But as I began my journey, I discovered something that shook me even more than the diagnosis itself.
Cancer doesn’t just attack the body.
It disrupts everything.
The appointments.
The medications.
The exhaustion.
The fear.
And then there were the things no one prepares you for—
How do you get to treatment if you don’t have reliable transportation?
How do you care for your children when your body is too weak to move?
How do you keep food in your home when medical bills start piling up?
I realized quickly that for many women, the fight isn’t just against cancer…
It’s against everything surrounding it.
And then came the truth I couldn’t ignore:
There are women who never get the chance I had.
Women who delay care.
Women who miss appointments.
Women who go without treatment—not because they choose to… but because they have no other option.
Not because they aren’t strong enough.
But because they don’t have access.
I knew in that moment my story could not end with survival alone.
It had to become something more.
I made a promise—
that if I made it through, I would do everything in my power to help other women fight.
That promise became The Breast of Times Foundation.
Today, we stand in the gap for women who are facing one of the hardest battles of their lives.
We help provide screenings.
We help get women to treatment.
We help with groceries, childcare, medications, and everyday needs.
Because when a woman is fighting for her life, she should not have to fight everything else too.
Every woman we help reminds me why this work matters.
Every life touched is a reminder that survival should never depend on income, access, or circumstance.
But there are still so many women waiting.
Waiting for support.
Waiting for access.
Waiting for someone to stand beside them.
That’s where you come in.
Your support helps us reach the women who might otherwise be overlooked.
Your generosity helps remove barriers that stand between a woman and her chance to survive.
Because this is more than a story.
It’s a mission.
It’s a movement.
And together, we can make sure no woman has to fight alone.
